[SPEAKER_00]: They are talking about battling cancer and they are doing it with laughter when we come back.

[SPEAKER_03]: Ah yes indeed ladies and gentlemen boys and girls it is yet another episode in fact it's episode twenty six of you gotta be kidding me we're still here we're still doing it yes I am Tony Perkins I am Gary Stein and this is right after our twenty fifth show yes that's really good it's crazy how that works and you know what

[SPEAKER_03]: I've already, because I've already started putting together a rundown for next week, that one is episode 27, isn't there?

[SPEAKER_06]: See, I'm not good with math.

[SPEAKER_06]: Is 27 your sugar comes after 26?

[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: Bye.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's right.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_06]: Why don't we do a 25th anniversary show, which is a retrospective of all the previous shows.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's what we should have done last week.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's our 25th anniversary.

[SPEAKER_06]: I think I'll look back.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right, right, yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: How are you, sir?

[SPEAKER_03]: Good to see you.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm good.

[SPEAKER_03]: How are you?

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm good.

[SPEAKER_03]: You look good.

[SPEAKER_03]: You look good, too.

[SPEAKER_06]: You look just like you.

[SPEAKER_06]: You really do.

[SPEAKER_03]: I had to move back to my old location because of a technical problem with my laptop.

[SPEAKER_03]: So, I'm in the old spot for today, hopefully next week, I'll be back downstairs.

[SPEAKER_06]: Were you okay moving locations to a different location?

[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to make sure you're comfortable.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I was because I spent quite a bit of time yesterday with Rob, Speedwack, our trustee producer.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Working out, trying to figure out the problems and we couldn't figure it out.

[SPEAKER_06]: decided to come here and then we checked this out made sure it was good and it was good he told me he told me because he called me separately and he told me that he felt that the problem was with you do you do is that what you came to also did you come to that yes I frequently do as a matter of fact you know I just want to get everybody in trouble I don't know if you do so I don't know why

[SPEAKER_03]: I want to mention something really quick because it looks like Tony put some effort into the show.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're just wearing a white t-shirt for the show.

[SPEAKER_03]: I am not.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm wearing one of our, uh, you got to be kidding me, T-shirts.

[SPEAKER_03]: Look at that.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's really nice.

[SPEAKER_06]: That looks, you know what?

[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to talk about that later because there's a way that you can get a lot of stuff like that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, indeed.

[SPEAKER_03]: We'll have that for you a little bit later.

[SPEAKER_06]: Can I ask you something more important than anything you've said so far?

[SPEAKER_06]: Because more than the stuff that you say or even the stuff that I respond to, I really just care about how I look.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And the tint is working. [SPEAKER_03]: Do you remember when we were growing up when the first color TVs that was one of the controls you had? [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, hint which either made it more green or more red. [SPEAKER_03]: And I always wondered who is taking it to the extreme of either of those. [SPEAKER_03]: positions because it would, the screen would be mostly red or mostly green and the right spot was right in the middle. [SPEAKER_03]: Why ever move it? [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I know what happened because every television came with a technician who sat behind the TV. [SPEAKER_06]: That was Rob Spuak's first job. [SPEAKER_06]: He, he said, [SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty good. [SPEAKER_03]: That was not a planned thing that we did there. [SPEAKER_03]: So that's for Rob Spiewack. [SPEAKER_03]: He can pull up anything. [SPEAKER_06]: Let's leave it at that. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_05]: I any no any excuse to play classic Disney. [SPEAKER_05]: But I do. [SPEAKER_05]: I was biting my tongue. [SPEAKER_05]: I know I was going to hold off before I came in. [SPEAKER_05]: But I can't go there. [SPEAKER_05]: When we were dealing with the technical issues yesterday, and Tony was great because none of us wants to get together on a Saturday and try to spotlight problems, because I know it's no fun, but when we're going back and forth, you see he has a laptop in the basement and a desktop in his office, and he wanted to check something on the laptop and he was going to go downstairs, I said, you know, you could bring the laptop to your office. [SPEAKER_05]: it's not have a stroke and he says, oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_05]: And I think that was probably the best solution of the day, is that we realized that the laptop wasn't being mobile. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's portable, like, could have brought it up. [SPEAKER_03]: Because I literally was going to go downstairs, check something, come back and tell him. [SPEAKER_06]: And look how nice Rob is trying to be, you're letting you know what you did. [SPEAKER_05]: But the world needs to know. [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, the world's, thank you. [SPEAKER_05]: Go away again. [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we did that here. [SPEAKER_05]: Aren't you glad you stopped by early? [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, Ken, Tony, Tony. [SPEAKER_06]: Yes. [SPEAKER_06]: Yes. [SPEAKER_06]: Right. [SPEAKER_06]: The date down. [SPEAKER_06]: Can I give you a compliment? [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Is it a real compliment? [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to date down after the compliment was. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: So listen. [SPEAKER_06]: I just want to compliment you on after we did our good morning America appearance. [SPEAKER_06]: You wound up getting us on your NBC broadcast in Washington. [SPEAKER_06]: Virginia, Maryland and all around that area. [SPEAKER_06]: We have a lot of viewership. [SPEAKER_06]: It's a major, it's a major, what do you call it? [SPEAKER_06]: Locals of Stature, local Stature Station. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: And you did a great job doing the piece, bringing out the piece from good morning America, making it your own because I noticed that NBC kept covering the GMA little bug. [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, did they? [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't even notice that. [SPEAKER_06]: Now, they put their own up when they couldn't hide the one on the left. [SPEAKER_06]: They didn't. [SPEAKER_06]: But it went really well. [SPEAKER_06]: And we can't really show the whole thing. [SPEAKER_06]: I just want to show something at the very beginning because it was touching. [SPEAKER_06]: And the whole thing was touching. [SPEAKER_01]: And I just wanted to say, thank you. [SPEAKER_01]: So Tony, we were a little busy while I was on vacation. [SPEAKER_01]: You thought I didn't see, but I saw. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was looking through the channels on Friday. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, wait, is that? [SPEAKER_01]: Tell you that I here on good morning America. [SPEAKER_03]: Good morning America. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I could just trade. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but you know, I worked there for 70 years and when I was at the morning America They hired a guy Gary Stein to demigodicated producers all the stuff that we did, you know, we did together. [SPEAKER_03]: He's become a dear friend [SPEAKER_03]: So we're part of the GMA family. [SPEAKER_03]: They had us on, we've got a new podcast out, but they also had us on because our friendship was deepened by our bonding over prostate cancer. [SPEAKER_03]: Both of us have battled it. [SPEAKER_03]: Gary is still battling it. [SPEAKER_03]: He's under active surgery. [SPEAKER_06]: So we can stop. [SPEAKER_06]: We can stop. [SPEAKER_06]: I just wanted to show that. [SPEAKER_06]: And I think you did a great job. [SPEAKER_06]: I just wanted to bring up a couple of quick things. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Huh, it looked good to me. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, it was good. [SPEAKER_06]: It was good and I actually right before Sarah went out to do a bike ride because she doesn't want to bother me when I'm doing a podcast. [SPEAKER_06]: I showed a tour and she was touched. [SPEAKER_06]: She was touched by as was I and to prove how touched I was I just want to bring up a couple of points So right at the beginning you said they hired a guy [SPEAKER_06]: They did, they did, all of the guy that hired was me, and you said, I Gary Stein. [SPEAKER_06]: Actually, they brought a guy in, they brought Gary Stein in, really, and you hired him. [SPEAKER_06]: So, I just wanted to say that. [SPEAKER_06]: The other thing, just a little thing, it was another thing but you know, because I didn't watch it and take it apart. [SPEAKER_03]: It's so clearly not. [SPEAKER_06]: But you said something about a dear friend. [SPEAKER_06]: I have a number of dear friends. [SPEAKER_06]: I would say there are many friends in my life that I think, listen, I don't mean this as any kind of like a slam, Rob's B-wack is a dear friend, but when you showed the [SPEAKER_06]: I feel a little bit like a fool because the thing that they always seem to show everybody shows is when I say the best part of my week, is that I get to do the show with my best friend, and anyway, so I just felt, oh, it's not worth bringing up, but I did want to say that that [SPEAKER_06]: Now I guess it wasn't worth sending it to you and I'm your dear friend and I can live with that because I've had to for 27 years and the other thing is just to clear up something Yeah, I'm really not battling prostate cancer Which it was what you said in the piece because battling seems like I'm waging a war that maybe I can't win and [SPEAKER_06]: Sarah even said something about we actually went out the door she said battling I'm going to tell him about that so so let's just review they hired a guy He turned out to be a dear friend who's battling prostate cancer, but I'm good because I had mine taken out [SPEAKER_03]: I love, they have covered you face, you're crying, my son is to you, I'm thinking, oh, I forgot to send care, because there's a couple of weeks ago now, and I knew that you, you know, you could see GMA, you couldn't see what we did locally. [SPEAKER_03]: No, it actually came out to be a really good thing. [SPEAKER_06]: You said yesterday. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I said it yesterday. [SPEAKER_06]: Yes. [SPEA
