[SPEAKER_06]: It's great to see you Gary Stein.

[SPEAKER_03]: I am so glad that you're seeing me.

[SPEAKER_06]: And we are back, but it's, you know, it's us, you know us, you know, the show is now called, you gotta be kidding me, which I suspect we're going to end up saying a lot because we found that even when we just talk to each other on the phone, because we have been in communication for all these past years.

[SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely, teaser.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_06]: At one point or another, one of us ends up saying, you've got to be kidding me.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: So what's the new title?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: So usually with everything you say, I go, you've got to be kidding me.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: So the show is you've got to be kidding me with Tony Perkins and Gary Stein.

[SPEAKER_06]: No more featuring Gary Stein.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know how much I had to pay to get out of the featuring thing for you people who are our old loyal one.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't mean old.

[SPEAKER_03]: wonderful fans.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know that I had an issue with featuring.

[SPEAKER_03]: But Tony in his benevolence said if you give me a lot of money, featuring goes away.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so it has it was only $50,000 and it was worth it.

[SPEAKER_06]: If you recall on the old show, towards the end, I frequently said it's the Tony Perkins show starring Gary Stein because I knew it bothered you.

[SPEAKER_06]: But my feeling has always been and we've talked

[SPEAKER_06]: It shouldn't have bothered you because featuring is featuring is, you know, means you're one of the stars.

[SPEAKER_03]: I just can't stand you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know that featuring means that you're the star?

[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm featuring like you see featuring in the credits of any television show.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, but it's not your star.

[SPEAKER_03]: I have thought about that. [SPEAKER_03]: I would be fine with that. [SPEAKER_03]: I honestly would have told you, you've got to be kidding me. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes, no, wait, wait, get your wife on the phone, because she would object to it. [SPEAKER_06]: I would have been fine, but it's too late we've got the billboards made and everything so... Yeah, you would have been fine because you're so relaxed about everything. [SPEAKER_03]: Nothing bothers you, you know, it's all good. [SPEAKER_03]: I want to own up to something because I like to tell the truth about everything, okay, so while we were preparing for the show I was looking at myself and the mirror in the bathroom and I thought, you know, you're six years older and you know, yes New podcast people don't some people don't know me to be younger, but I looked at my eyebrows and my eyebrows were gray [SPEAKER_03]: And I've got gray hair here, but I thought, Gary, you're getting older. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's be a grown-up. [SPEAKER_03]: Your eyebrows are gray, so let's just leave it. [SPEAKER_03]: So we sat down at our computers to do this. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and I went like, wow, look at this Sharpie. [SPEAKER_03]: This is, this is a really big fat Sharpie. [SPEAKER_03]: And I will be honest. [SPEAKER_03]: I sharpened my eyebrows. [SPEAKER_03]: I swear to you that I did you really. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, but look at that. [SPEAKER_06]: Look at that sharpie. [SPEAKER_06]: That's, I think that's a permanent marker. [SPEAKER_03]: I hope so. [SPEAKER_03]: I hope so. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm planning on using it in other places later that we can't talk about now, but I feel like I came up with a whole new reason to use a sharpie. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm thrilled. [SPEAKER_03]: But if you're right, but if the audience, [SPEAKER_03]: you know, because they see everything. [SPEAKER_03]: If they're wondering why my eyebrows are so dark, it's easy. [SPEAKER_03]: I used Sarah doesn't know. [SPEAKER_03]: When Sarah my wife gets home and I tell her about this, she's going to say, nicely, what's wrong with you? [SPEAKER_06]: You should just see if she notices. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll have to see. [SPEAKER_03]: That's a good idea. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just see if she notices. [SPEAKER_06]: If she can report back. [SPEAKER_03]: That's a great, great, great idea. [SPEAKER_03]: She never even notices when I come home. [SPEAKER_06]: So, let me say this, let me say this. [SPEAKER_06]: Please. [SPEAKER_06]: You look fantastic. [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we're both older. [SPEAKER_06]: You look great. [SPEAKER_02]: You look great. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: I've got the gray going on as well. [SPEAKER_06]: But I feel fantastic. [SPEAKER_06]: You look fantastic. [SPEAKER_06]: And I do want to tell you something because as I was getting ready for the show. [SPEAKER_06]: And we have kept saying it's been six years. [SPEAKER_06]: It's been eight years. [SPEAKER_06]: Our last show was in 2018. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, no, we did one bonus one during COVID. [SPEAKER_03]: I thought we did a 2020 show, which is we're in saying six years. [SPEAKER_03]: But it's been a long time since we did a regular show, and we're about to do a brand new regular show regularly. [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, and this is not a one-off. [SPEAKER_06]: It's not a joke, because I know some people were thinking, are they teasing us? [SPEAKER_06]: This is a new show, we're back. [SPEAKER_06]: we intend to do it at least once a week. [SPEAKER_06]: If it grows, it could go more than that. [SPEAKER_03]: We might do bonus episodes because maybe we can find ways to get them to pay for stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's not really the way you should put it. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, listen, let me just say this too. [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, wait. [SPEAKER_03]: This is crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: About two months ago, before I knew that we had this locked up, and we're going to talk more about our producers and this new show been locked up. [SPEAKER_03]: This disappeared from Amazon like a year ago. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, did it really? [SPEAKER_03]: And for some reason, two months ago, feeling nostalgic and wondering why I'm not really a podcast star. [SPEAKER_03]: yet. [SPEAKER_03]: I went back on the Amazon and they were available and I really don't know why I bought two. [SPEAKER_03]: I bought one in red and one in black and I haven't worn them. [SPEAKER_03]: I just wanted to have them. [SPEAKER_03]: You said they disappeared. [SPEAKER_03]: They did. [SPEAKER_03]: And they're back. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but I don't want people to buy them because we're going to have new swag. [SPEAKER_03]: We will have new swag. [SPEAKER_03]: So don't buy these. [SPEAKER_03]: We'll buy them. [SPEAKER_03]: They'll be collectors items. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, you're a collector's item. [SPEAKER_06]: All right, a couple of things that we want to do as we're starting this new endeavor. [SPEAKER_06]: First of all, thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: You're welcome. [SPEAKER_06]: Not you. [SPEAKER_06]: To all of our fans that I think there are 630 of you now. [SPEAKER_06]: No. [SPEAKER_06]: actually there are thousands of there are several thousand fans really and you guys so the Instagram page the Twitter or ex I guess it's called now all of that has still been a lot on Facebook all of that has still been alive Gary has been more active on Facebook than I have been but you guys have been there you still interact with us [SPEAKER_06]: I love the fact that you all remember all the old jokes if I post something and I mention the Beatles and some of the rights right? [SPEAKER_06]: The Beatles? [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: Like from the old show, you know, referencing the two-man march and yes to something good, someone wrote that when it looked like we were coming back. [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_06]: That is extraordinary for us to be dormant for six years for you to hang in there. [SPEAKER_06]: We intend to reward that with the best shows we can possibly do and have it a lot of fun, eventually getting back to doing live appearances and all that kind of stuff. [SPEAKER_06]: So thank you very much. [SPEAKER_03]: The only objection I have to all of it, and I love what you just said, but you referred to us as dormant. [SPEAKER_03]: And I, I, I, I don't feel dormant. [SPEAKER_03]: I, I feel very, very active, really. [SPEAKER_03]: I feel overactive. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I talk too much in general. [SPEAKER_03]: But when I'm really excited about something, you can't shut me up. [SPEAKER_03]: So just, maybe every once in a while, just say, I love you. [SPEAKER_03]: You know that. [SPEAKER_03]: Just say, Gary, shut up, okay. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll stop. [SPEAKER_06]: I would never say that. [SPEAKER_06]: right but but so let's pull back the camera just a or the curtain just a little bit um you know we have talked about doing this show several times over the last several years we've we've kind of pursued it a little bit it's it's just never really been the right time the right circumstances or what have you we almost said we almost said yes to a company and you and I didn't feel good about it and we were dying to do a new show [SPEAKER_03]: but it didn't feel right. [SPEAKER_03]: And we have a lot to reveal
